Posted by The organisers of the Killarney Marathon 2011 would like to invite members of the public to a meeting regarding the staging of the Killarney Marathon on March 19th, 2011.
The information evening will take place in The Avenue Hotel, Killarney, on January 20th, 2010, at 7.30pm.The organisers would hope that as many local residents, business people and all other interested parties would attend the meeting.
Killarney has the potential to become the hub of running in 2010/2011, and the town and local businesses, hotels, B&B’s etc, will benefit from this very exciting event.
The organisers Feet First believe that Killarney is a very vibrant town and the incredibly beautiful surrounding countryside will make Killarney an ideal venue for staging a marathon. Feet First hope that the event will combine fun runners, joggers, club athletes and top class internationals.

Killarney is a great place to base your adventures in the south-west of Ireland.
I visited Killarney this past summer, and had a magnificent time. I am presently looking for a marathon to run in 2011, to celebrate my 60th birthday, which so happens to be on March 18th. Right now Killarney would be my choice marathon location. So come on Killarney, give a guy a 60th b’day celebration……
