DWTSThis year’s Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) will have a few less faces as fan favorites, Karina Schmirnoff, Cheryl Burke, and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, are not returning. Sadly, it appears these professional dancers are gone for good as they pursue other opportunities.

There were also reports that the top dog, Derek Hough, would not be a part of Season 20 of DWTS because he had a commitment to another endeavor but just this week, fans were beyond excited to learn he will in fact be in the professional lineup. As to the reason for the reversed decision no one knows nor do they really care.

With this being the 10th anniversary of DWTS, executives associated with the Radio City Spring Spectacular of which Hough will be involved made it possible for him to dance and fulfill his commitment. Hough stated that the show is part of his family and he wanted to be part of this season so he is glad that things worked out to make his return possible.

Professionals this year will include veterans Mark Ballas, Whitney Carson, Artem Chigvintsev, Val Chmerkovskiy, Tony Dovolani, Allison Holker, Emma Slater, Peta Murgatroyd, Keo Motsepe, Kym Johnson, and Sharna Burgess.

As a milestone season, it is expected that producers will pull out all the stops to make it extremely memorable. In addition to incredible professional dancers, there is an exciting lineup of stars, all learning to dance in anticipation of walking away with the prized Mirrorball.

Some of the top names competing this year on DWTS include singer legend Patti LaBelle, television icon Suzanne Somers, Olympian Nastia Liukin, and football star Michael Sam. There are other exciting names and many interesting stories behind each to include Robert Herjavec, Willow Shields, Riker Lynch, RedFoo, and Rumer Willis.

One competitor’s name that everyone is vying to watch dance is US Army veteran Noah Galloway. In addition to providing service to the country, he lost his left arm above the elbow and left leg above the knee in the Iraq War following an IED attack. As others have on the show, Galloway will be an inspiration for millions of people, especially veterans.

This season’s lineup includes incredible pairs:

• Sharna Burgess with Noah Galloway
• Artem Chigvintsev with Patti LaBelle
• Kym Johnson with Robert Herjavec
• Allison Holker with Riker Lynch
• Derek Hough with Nastia Liukin
• Emma Slater with RedFoo
