ROCKVILLE, MARYLAND – Bethesda Game Studios, an American in-house development team, has announced the launch date of latest Fallout series, the Fallout 4. The much awaited, open-world RPG game, Fallout 4 is set to release on GameStop and Amazon on December 31st, 2015 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC platforms. The game is a sequel to Fallout: New Vegas, launched a couple of years ago.
The Amazon store page for Fallout 4 give a brief on the game and has pre-order options for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The game was earlier rumored to be available on older platforms as well, such as the PS3 and Xbox 360. The company later denied this rumor by saying, ‘the stuff we are doing will never work on older consoles.’ Thereby hinting the use of advanced technologies which is beyond the range of these decaying consoles.
Reports say that the game revolves around the city of Boston Massachusetts. The trailer of the game begins with a note, ‘Please Stand By’ and then slowly expands to reveal the inside ruins of the Boston home. The trailer features and highlights the whereabouts of a German Shepherd Dog, whose significance is doubtful. There is, however, no specific date announced for the launch of the game by the publisher, so we’re now relying on the dates seen on GameStop and Amazon.
The Bethesda official page for Fallout 4 provides the screenshot for the game in 4K resolution, pointing to the use of the best hardware available. The screenshot also cleared the doubt among those who after watching the trailer thought as if the game has been made out of the graphics that are little on the mark.
The company revealed the game last week, but to know more about it, fans have to wait for the announcements at Bethesda’s first-ever E3 press conference set to happen on June 14 this year. The conference is going to be held in Los Angeles, and the company is expected to unveil some other extended gameplay segments and insides of the Boston-ruins, which may even clear the significance of the mysterious dog.
Like the previous Fallout series, this game is also based on the ‘Americana apocalypse’ theme, and styling, just with the new location – Boston. The game has a lot of interesting stuff to watch out for, which includes endless weapon customization like the hunting rifle, with a laser gun mounted on top.
The game is retailing for $59.99 for pre-orders on Amazon, including the shipping expenses.
